Wheel of the Year Natural Celebrations
These are natural celebrations for all the family based in nature to mark the seasonal changes and Wheel of the Year. These will include crafting activities, music making, dancing, seasonal games as well as meditation and ritual activities. These celebrations include acknowledging the Summer and Winter Solstices and the Spring and Autumn Equinoxes. Other celebrations include what are called the cross quarter festivals – Imbolc (Spring shoots – beginning of February), Beltane (Summer blossoms – beginning of May), Lammas (Autumn harvests – beginning of August) and Samhain (aka Hallowe’en, Winter darkness – beginning of November). Venues for these need to be arranged and they will be advertised as and when they are happening – keep your eyes on Facebook.
Night walking and star gazing are also on the cards and Nature based retreats to reconnect with the planet and the elements.
